About the ClubWelcome to the "North Bay Astronomy Club". We are a community based organization dedicated to making astronomy interesting and fun for everybody. The North Bay Astronomy Club hosts a variety of activities that include monthly meetings, community star parties, public education, and recreational star gazing. Membership in the club is open to anyone with an interest in astronomy. Whether you are viewing the sky for the first time, or you are a seasoned astronomer, we invite you to come join us and experience one of our monthly meetings or our star parties. |
Gateway to the UniverseEvery year, in July, the North Bay Astronomy Club holds its annual "Gateway to the Universe" star party. This star party features a variety of daytime activities & observing at night. We invite you to come out & share our hobby. All you need is an interest and we'll show you some wonders of the night sky through our personal telescopes. As well as Gateway, we hold numerous star parties throughout the year when we invite the Public to share our hobby. |
Monthly MeetingsOur monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, from September to June, at 7:00 PM. Meetings take place in the library at Sunset Park Public School, 1191 Lakeshore Drive, North Bay. To verify date and time, please check our club website or phone one of the contact numbers below. Each club meeting has several regular presentations of 10 to 15 minutes. We also enjoy a variety of activities that may include astronomy slide or video presentations, or a guest speaker. The meetings are a good place to have fun, relax and learn more about the many aspects of astronomy. |
