THE 14^TH ANNUAL ADVENTURE ALGONQUIN

We hope everyone has had a good winter and that you are looking forward to the 2011 Star Party season.

The TORONTO CENTRE of the ROYAL ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY of CANADA invites you to join us for The 14^th Annual Algonquin Adventure Star Party being held at Mew Lake Campground (inside beautiful Algonquin Park). This years Algonquin Adventure takes place September 23 – 25^th, 2011.

Mew Lake Campground is fully equipped with clean restrooms, free showers and a sandy beach on a small, calm lake. Algonquin Park offers lots of daytime activities like: hiking, museums, art galleries, swimming, canoeing, and bird watching. At night, of course, we have the pristine dark skies that Algonquin Park is famous for.

Accommodations offered at Mew Lake Campground are:

• ELECTRICAL SITES
• NON-ELECTRIAL SITES
• YURTS

(A YURT is a semi-permanent structure which sleeps 6 and is perfect for those who do not enjoy the tenting experience. All you need to bring is food, clothing, and bedding. There are ONLY 7 YURTS at Mew Lake, so reserve early to avoid disappointment.)

This is a camping weekend and reservations can be made anytime from April 23, 2011 and making your reservation is easy. Just call the Ontario Parks Reservation line at 1-888-668-7275 or visit their website at www.OntarioParks.com.
